ABOUT US...

War Years Remembered are a friendly group of re-enactors portraying the British Army during World War II. We have members based across the country and take part in a wide variety of events, from small local themed weekends to large national military and multi-period exhibitions.

The aim of the group is to sensitively and respectfully recreate scenarios that give a glimpse of the life and experiences of the men and women who served for the British Armed forces from 1939-1945. We hope to educate and engage those who come to view our displays and provide an opportunity for continued remembrance.

Our members have taken great interest and pride in collecting and renovating genuine period equipment wherever possible to provide an authentic experience that combines museum quality exhibits within a Living History setting. Where reproduction items are used, they are sourced or created with care to ensure they accurately reflect those used during the Second World War.

We provide a variety of scenarios through our displays. Our breadth of equipment enables us to provide  static scenarios, working military vehicle demonstrations and blank firing weapons for use both in battle re-enactment and information displays.

Our re-enactment schedule is a busy one, but we welcome enquiries from people interested in taking part and events looking for new displays; so please feel free to drop us a line.

Some of our recent events include:

- Goodwood Revival (Goodwood, West Sussex)

- CarFest North and South (Cheshire and Hampshire)

- M5 Living History (Spetchley Park, Worcestershire)

- Wartime in the Vale (Evesham, Worcestershire)

- Black Country Museum 1940s Weekend (Dudley, West Midlands)

- Living History in Worcester (The Commandery, Worcester)
